Dr. Sanjeev Kulgod, PI and Medical Advisor, is a surgical oncologist with a focus on breast, GI, hepatobiliary, and head and neck cancers. His achievements include pioneering breast-conserving surgery in Northern Karnataka, extensive professional contributions, and holding the Chairman role of the 2024 Indian Association of Surgical Oncologist (IASO) Midcon Conference, India’s premier oncology event. He is the director of Radon Oncology, a state-of-the-art private oncology health provider in North Karnataka, as well as the director of Radon Cancer Foundation, a non-profit research organization dedicated towards preventative care.

Dr Shashikant Kulgod, Medical Advisor, is an accomplished surgical gastroenterologist with over two decades of experience. He holds an MS in General Surgery from Seth GS Medical College, Mumbai, and an FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Currently serving as Chief Surgical Gastroenterologist at BHS Lakeview Hospital, he has previously worked at KLES Hospital and as a Specialist Registrar in Belfast. Dr. Kulgod also holds several directorial and trustee positions in healthcare organizations.

Itamar Bitan

Itamar Bitan is a canine professional and co-founder of Dognosis. He served for 4 years at the Israeli Army’s canine special-ops unit, as a combat-soldier and commander of the bomb detection squad. He then worked for 2 years at an Israeli venture that trained dogs to detect breast cancer and Parkinson’s from breath samples.

Akash Kulgod is a cognitive scientist and co-founder of Dognosis. He studied Cognitive Science with Highest Honors from the University of California, Berkeley, where his honors thesis on canine olfaction was awarded the Robert J. Glushko Prize for Distinguished Undergraduate Research. He has been a visiting researcher at Tech4Animals, Israel; Family Dog Project, Budapest; and Medical Detection Dogs, UK. He is the first author of two publications on canine cognitive neuroscience - a systematic review of canine EEG (under-publication in BMC) and a paper on canine brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) in the special issue of Advanced Robotics.
